Letters, April 2003

It’s a beautiful, crisp, and clear Sunday morning here in Vajta. I came downstairs to read the missionary letters that Phil so graciously sends all over the world. The contrasts are stunning from the death of a child in Haifa to the needs of housing in Hungary. Prayer requests from the hearts of missionaries from the Philippines, Moscow, and Tokyo to Aguascalientes, Mexico, Managua, Nicaragua, and Petrosani, Romania are asked of the saints. Jesus said to ask and it shall be given.

My life is not so hard. My life is not so busy nor burdened that I, we, cannot for a moment share in the requests made to our Lord from our brothers and sisters – His children. They are out doing the work of the gospel burdened in heart and body while we rest in God’s word in the comfort of His hands.

       Lest we forget…

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ…One who is taught the word must share in all good things with the one who teaches.” Galatians 6:2,6 – ESV

I am in no way discounting the work that is done for His glory by those that I know, who love our Lord and are burdened themselves by the blindness of our own country. Rather than hear my heart,

…Exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Hebrews 3:13 – KJV
