Finally – Tbear is on the air from over there – CCBCE. My internet is down so you’ll be receiving this message as soon as we go online. Jet lags a drag but the trip is always worth it. I went to get out of SFO as sick as a dog. I approached the attendant at the counter in hopes of grabbing two seats – she only had four so I got to stretch out all the way to London.
I dressed in my usual attire and sure enough, as I lay down on the terminal floor to wait for the flight a guy was straining to see what my shirt said. ‘Jesus’ is always a catcher but the ‘made me kosher’ seems to cause pause. I explained to him that because of Jesus I was now ‘kosher’ or acceptable to God. He nodded then changed the subject to, “I thought you were one of those ‘Jews for Jesus’ guys.” Shock of shocks – I am!
I told him I used to work there, that that’s how I knew what the shirt meant, and proceeded to witness to him about our Lord’s sacrifice by which we can all be made kosher. It was great talking to him because during our conversation several of those pauses that one makes when confronted with something you haven’t thought too much about flashed across his face. I then boarded the plane.
When flying I usually go to the galley when everyone’s asleep, somewhere between Canada and Ireland, for snacks and conversation. I began talking with an Irishman by the name of
Steward who worked for British Airways. Again the shirt was the starting point of our conversation. It went much the same as the first conversation in San Francisco with the same pensive pauses. We got much deeper however as the Lord brought many scriptures to mind to answer his questions. Please pray for Steward who told me he was going to pick up his Bible and read it.
